January: re:Work with Google

Google has fantastic free customizable resources for employers on the topics of Goal Setting, Hiring, Innovation, Learning & Development, Managers, People Analytics, Teams & Unbiasing. I could spend all 12 months just highlighting each incredible free resource they offer! Check it out if you haven’t already!

February:  FMLA

The DOL has tremendous FREE resources available about the FMLA – fact sheets, posters, interactive guidance and more. The hidden gem is the FMLA PowerPoint presentation that can be downloaded and used to train HR or any FMLA administrator. You can find that presentation under the E-tools tab!

March: OFCCP Resource
April & May: Here’s a consolidated list of the most helpful FFCRA resources (I’m also happy to help!):
June: Unconscious Bias Webinar
July: ADA

In honor of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) celebrating 30 years this month, I am sharing free and helpful ADA resources for my July resource. The ADA applies to employers with 15 employees or more.

The EEOC enforces the ADA in the workplace. There is a plethora of helpful information on the site including specific guidance for specific disabilities such as cancer and epilepsy. Always check the resources here for any ADA questions.

The U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) does not enforce the ADA, but it does offer publications and other technical assistance on the basic requirements of the law.

The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) is the leading source of free, expert, and confidential guidance on workplace accommodations and disability employment issues.

My FREE resources for October 2020 – it’s DE&I DIY Resources. These are my current favorites:

  • Unconscious Bias Training
  • Unbiasing Toolkits (since you cannot completely unbias employees, you must unbias organizational processes and procedures)
    • Bias Interrupters Toolkits (featured in HBR) created for Organizations, Managers & Individuals in the areas of Hiring & Recruiting, Assignments, Meetings & Performance Evaluations: Bias Interrupters

Feel free to reach out if you are looking for other resources as I just may know where to find them!
