Workplace Civility Initiative: The EEOC has concluded that incivility in a workplace can be a gateway drug to harassment and now provides civility training and encourages employers to focus on positive behaviors as opposed to the historical anti-harassment training of what not to do. Employee Relations Consulting advises employers to take the initiative in promoting a civil workplace. Furthermore, workplace civility is a multipurpose tool that promotes engagement, retention and develops managers. The training reviews the definition of civility, why it matters and how to cultivate a civil workplace. This training is one hour.

Unconscious Bias & Inclusion Training: Everyone has biases. The key to overcome bias is to be aware of it and to actively work to control it. This training defines unconscious bias, why it matters, and why it is important to control. The training also discusses the importance and impact of creating an inclusive workplace. This training is one hour.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): The ADA training reviews the important requirements of the new ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA) in the workplace. The training explains how the definition of disabled has been expanded, how to handle requests for accommodations, what is a reasonable accommodation and what is the ‘interactive process’. This training is one hour.

Discrimination & Harassment: The Discrimination and Harassment training provides an overview of discrimination and harassment and the various protected classes including both state and federal protected classes. Furthermore, the training discusses how to avoid engaging in conduct that could be considered discrimination or harassment in the workplace. This training is one hour.

Documentation Best Practices: Document, document, document. This phrase demonstrates how documentation is a critical component of any workplace and this training reviews documentation best practices. Just as good documentation can be beneficial, bad documentation can be detrimental to employers. This training is one hour.

Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA): The FMLA is a very detailed regulation and this training highlights the most important aspects of the Act. The training reviews the eligibility requirements, the paperwork requirements and timeframes for completion. Furthermore, it reviews how leave is taken and measured. It reviews the ‘trigger’ words for managers. This training is one hour.

Form I-9: The Form I-9 is only three pages in length but it has 15 pages of instructions.
